Kairos Ministry
“…I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:36)
What Does “Kairos” Mean?
The word, Kairos, is a Greek word meaning in “God’s Special Time” or in the “Fullness of Time,” indicating an opportunity for our participants and guests to reconsider their life choices.

- Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. (Kairos) is a lay-led, interdenominational Christian ministry in which men and women volunteers bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to prisoners and their families.
- The Kairos programs take the participants on a journey that demonstrates the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Kairos Prison Ministry is Christian in nature, although no religious affiliation is necessary to be a participant.
- The programs involve a structured model that includes the weekend experience, followed by guests or participants gathering regularly for accountability, support, and prayer.
How Can I Serve with Kairos at Guntersville First?
- Cookies – We bake 600-800 Dozen for each Kairos weekend, but there are specific baking instructions we adhere to. For the “Ten Commandments of Kairos Cookies” click here
- Prayer – Kairos Weekends are a battlefield where strongholds are taken down, and lives are changed! We invite you to join us in praying without ceasing for the lost at St. Clair, and for the men and women who will serve in this ministry. Your time committed to pray will be used in creating a powerful prayer chain that will surround these rooms-literally your prayers will cover these men on all sides!
- Meal Tickets – Each meal ticket cots $10, but we accept donations of any amount. The cost of each weekend is high, with that being said, we thank you for your financial support.
